Muskrat Coat
This was one of my favorite design transformations. Another Maine thrift shop find, sent to me by a friend. The signature inserted strips were hand-woven and made to order. I chose the yarn, the weave and the size of the strip to coordinate with the stripes made by the dye on the flip side of the fur. The pockets and zipper details made it a favorite piece. At my first pop-up, a man tried it on and bought it. Like many of my coats, they work well for anyone who fits the unique style of a particular Flipping Fur piece.
