I do not advocate the killing of animals for their fur. Making a connection with animals reveals a depth of soul. I use vintage fur in order to honor a sacrifice, the ultimate sacrifice made. The creation of beautiful, wearable, collectible and practical pieces, is a healing experience for me. I am, after all, still making art. Existing furs are sustainable. Fur breaks down at the same level as plant life. Family owned furs that may have a sentimental value can become blankets, accessories or new 21st century coat designs. I welcome those commissions.
